Upper Valley Trails Alliance

The Upper Valley Trails Alliance advocates for the use, maintenance and development of trails in the region. Through education, outreach & stewardship we:

  • promote active lifestyles through trail use in all seasons
  • connect people and places through a regional trail network
  • lead a coalition of local trail groups and advocates
Grants Awarded: 

2016 - $2,500 to support the Upper Valley Trail Corps

a locally based week long trail corps for high school students, created in partnership with the National Parks Service. The goal is to bring youth to an aging trail stewardship population and help UVTA increase capacity to accommodate a growing number of requests for trail work in the region.

2015 - $5,000 to support the Upper Valley Trail Corps

2013 - $5,000 to support the new summer leadership opportunity for high school girls, building trails for 2-4 weeks, summer 2014

2009 - Grant provides support for new strategic planning process.

2008 - Support for a new strategic planning process.

2007 -  Funds for a marketing strategy to permanently sustain, and potentially expand, the Passport to Winter Fun program, which aims to institutionalize year-round outdoor activities for kids.
