City Center Ballet

City Center Ballet, established in 1999, is a non-profit semi-professional ballet company that produces performances and educational opportunities for young, devoted dancers in the Upper Valley.

City Center Ballet is made up of dancers from throughout the Upper Connecticut River Valley of New Hampshire and Vermont. Over the years, we have drawn dancers from Cornish, Grantham, Lebanon, Hanover, and Plainfield, NH; and Brookfield, Hartford, Norwich and Sharon, VT. Most began studying ballet at around 5 or 6 years old.

Because of their years of training and dedication, CCB’s dancers are able to perform at levels rarely found in community dance companies. CCB strives to present its ballets on full-size professional stages in order for the dancers to bring the discovery, appreciation and study of dance to the greater community. The dancers gain much from this experience. It allows them the opportunity to perform before a live audience in exquisite custom-fitted costumes while working with guest artists and choreographers, stage managers, and lighting and technical professionals. As part of its commitment to the community, CCB at times travels to perform for small groups who would otherwise not be able to experience the delight of a live ballet performance.
